A Farewell...

Noah, the Feline Puppy Nanny, has died. He has been living with my daughter for the past 1.5 years because his diabetes required her skills and abilities. I saw him in May and could tell he was not long for this world, although he was still happy and friendly. Noah died peacefully at home, surrounded by people and animals who loved him.

We found Noah as a young adult cat about 15 years ago when we lived in Wisconsin. He loved puppies, and was a most excellent Puppy Nanny for each of our litters. Our girls, having been raised by Noah, would allow him in the whelping box immediately and seemed to take comfort in his purring presence.

Thanks to Nicole and Doug for their excellent care of Noah in his very senior years. We will all miss that funny Noah -- the best Feline Puppy Nanny ever...

  1. I'm thankful that Noah was a part of Peaches' young life and gave her a good impression of kitties. Peaches adores our black cat, and I'm sure that is in no small part due to her introduction to Noah in the first weeks of her life. Thank you Noah.
